What is Atletico Warton?
Atletico Warton is a inclusive football club based at the Lighning Club at Warton, Lancashire. Founded in 2023, we’re a non-profit group made up of men from all across Lancashire, ranging in age from 21 to 51. Our mission is simple – to create a welcoming and supportive environment where local men can come together, get active, and have fun. We run three 5-a-side sessions a week, providing a great opportunity for anyone looking to get back into football or improve their physical health and wellbeing. Whether you're looking to meet new people, get out of the house, or just stay fit, our team is all about community, health, and the love of the game.
In addition to our regular 5-a-side sessions, we also compete in 11-a-side matches against other like-minded teams from across Lancashire. These games are made up of players who regularly attend our weekly sessions, providing a fantastic opportunity to take our passion for football to the next level. Beyond the pitch, we also enjoy socializing together, often meeting up for a drink and a chat outside of football. This sense of community is a big part of what makes our team special. it’s not just about playing football, but building lasting friendships and having fun both on and off the field.
